In September 2009 we open our doors to 132 6th and 7th graders in the Bronx, and over the next six years will expand, one grade at a time, until we are 6-12. We welcome certified, experienced educators and staff who believe that a child’s neighborhood, socioeconomic status, or previous educational experience should not define their future. Our teachers will benefit from:
• An 8:00-4:00 school day that includes professional development and collaboration time every day from 8:00-9:00 (with students reporting at 9:00), as well as prep periods during the day.
• A competitive wage and benefits package, including pay set above NYCDOE scales.
• A commitment to a collaborative, professional learning community that pushes and supports your growth, responsibility, and leadership.
• Small class sizes (22:1 in middle school; 25:1 in high school).
