BARC Developmental Services is a private, not for profit human services agency serving developmentally disabled adults and children since 1951. We now employ over 240 dedicated and caring people in four departments: Residential Services, Vocational Services, Early Intervention and Support Services. We serve over 900 individuals from birth through retirement. Our corporate offices are centrally located in Holicong, PA, near Doylestown and New Hope.
The Teacher position is located at the Early Intervention Center in Croydon, PA. The Teacher is responsible for the development and implementaion of all children's IEP goals and objectives to ensure that all evaluation requests are followed up on. Teachers develop and plan activities in order to implement and monitor children's IEP programming within the 3-5 program. Teachers are assisted by the Instructional Assistants in implementing IEP plans. behavioral plans, feeding plans, etc.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. The school calendar resembles the calendar of the Intermediate Unit and affords appoximately 6 paid weeks off per year.
Qualifications include:
Current PA Teaching certification in Early Childhood or Special Education
Experience with developmentally delayed children, program planning and assessment writing preferred.
Must be physically able to lift preschool children to provide direct care and assist with activities.
Valid driver's license and own transportation required for agency business
