Great Hearts Academies is a non-profit charter school management organization dedicated to revolutionizing public education in the Phoenix metropolitan area by developing a network of excelling preparatory academies. Great Hearts member schools Veritas Prep, Chandler Prep, Mesa Prep, Glendale Prep, Scottsdale Prep, Teleos Prep, Anthem Prep, and Archway Classical (K-5) at Chandler Prep (Anthem and Archway opening Fall 2010) - are substantially outperforming other public and private schools, proving that schools can do a superb job of educating students if they are smaller and set higher expectations for all students through a core, Classical Liberal Arts Curriculum.
TEACHING OPENINGS FOR 2010-2011:
*Certification is not required; the vast majority of our teachers hold undergraduate/graduate degrees in the academic subjects they teach, or in liberal arts.
•Mathematics: Pre-Algebra to Calculus
•Science: Life Science, Earth/Physical Science, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry
•Humanities: Western Traditions of Literature, History, and Philosophy
•Fine Arts: Music, Poetry, Visual Arts, Drama
•Languages: Latin, Ancient Greek, Spanish, German, French
•Kindergarten-5th Grade Classroom Teachers
•Kindergarten-5th Grade Specialists in Spanish, Fine Arts, Physical Education
•Classroom Instructional Aides
•Special Education Teachers
Great Hearts is pleased to announce the Fall 2010 opening of two new schools: Anthem Prep (beginning with grades 3-9), and Archway Classical at Chandler Prep (K-5). In addition, a number of our existing academies are adding grade levels. All told, we expect to hire about 60 new teachers for the 2010-2011 academic year.
