Summary: Provides oversight and direction to school operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:
•Provides leadership in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluating of the Fellowship Christian Academy (FCA) Long Range Plan.•Leads FCA’s Education Committee as needed.
•Analyzes the FCA technology usage and ensures effective use of technology to support learning, teaching and, school management.
•Upholds high standards for personal attendance and punctuality so that student and staff achievement is not adversely impacted.
•Maintains confidentiality regarding student and employee information.
•Works with FCA staff to implement the characteristics of effective schools.
•Maintains a high level of commitment and knowledge about the interests and needs of students and teachers at all levels.
•Participates in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of all FCA staff.
•Observes and evaluates teachers and other staff members.
•Completes and files all required reports to the accrediting agencies on behalf of FCA.
•Develops and maintains school budget.
•Oversees the requisitioning of equipment, educational material, and supplies in conformance with approved expenditures.
•Creates and sustains two-way communication with parents and community regarding school programs.
•Facilitates the communication of the school program to the community.
•Demonstrates godly character with staff and constituents.
•Facilitates a very positive Christian environment by displaying contagious optimism and enthusiastic leadership.
•Follows Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration.
•Completes Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship’s leadership requirements as outlined by the ministry.
•Assess own strengths and weaknesses and pursue training and development opportunities in order to continuously build knowledge and skills.
Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Principal is required.
